• Funny how the English are stereotypically known for awful dental care but there was a possibility that breasts could have been ruled a human right.  “A 58-year-old British transsexual Tuesday lost her court battle over the state-funded health service’s refusal to pay for a breast enlargement, which she claimed violated her human rights.” [MyFoxDC.com]

• A New York law student/fitness enthusiast’s year-long quest to work out for free just got a hell of a lot easier this summer given the building where her cush BigLaw D.C. firm is located offers a gym.  Or as she says, she can get her sweat on “[r]ight smack in the middle of corporate, blood sucking America. • We’d update you on the effort to repeal the military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy, but you didn’t ask, and we’re not going to tell.  But here’s a hint: it’s got key senator support.  [CNN]

• “A team of Justice Department attorneys has written a recommendation challenging the Arizona immigration law.” But it’s only a draft, and they can’t even seem to fully agree on what legal analysis to actually recommend.  They may want to get on the horse and determine what to tell the White House because the law is set to be implemented on July 29, barring any legal challenges.  [ABC News]

• From our lips to God’s ears: A day after former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was sentenced to up to five years in prison for not paying restitution, his lead lawyer announced he was dissolving his practice, dropping Kilpatrick as a client and taking a job with a gospel network.  [The Detroit News]

• Andrew Cuomo = Eliot Spitzer 2.0.  [Associated Press]

• Who wants to be a solo practice millionaire?  You do?  That’s great.  But if you’re a recent law grad, don’t be an idiot and hang out your own shingle quite yet.  Capiche?  And for the rest of you—do me a favor and keep your overhead low.  [Texas Lawyer]

• A law professor’s 2009 survey of 164 legal secretaries yielded some interesting stats on your lesser-referenced law firm counterparts once known as your “second wife”—so have a heart.
